Work area

Lithuanian Rehabilitational Vocational Training Centre (LRPRC) is vocational training centre for disabled peoples. Our students have special needs and learning troubles. Youngsters from 15 till 25 years old, who graduated from primary school by adopted program and from special school for pupils with learning troubles, can reach specialty in our Centre. They learn for 3 years. Graduated from LRPRC they successfully enter job market.
We also offer vocational rehabilitation for adult invalid peoples, who lost their work ability because of illness or accident.
As hosting partner for international stage partnership LRPRC can offer working placement in such areas as: cook, metal worker (blacksmith), carpenter, hotel worker, tailor, builder (inside decorator) specialties.
As sending organization we sent students of the same specialties to working placements to our international partners abroad.

Target

It can be small groups of IVT students: 4 - 8 persons.
Other possibility is VETPRO training for small groups or individuals: teacher assistant in the field of social care.

Location

Radvilishkis is small and calm town in the same centre of Lithuania. There are about 20 thousands inhabitants in it. From us there are 200 km to the capital Vilnius, about 180 km to the famous Lithuanian resorts Palanga, Nida and to port Klaipeda, 160 km to second Lithuanian town Kaunas, 150 km to Riga- the capital of our neighbor Latvia. Here are only 20 km to Shaiuliai and Mountain of Cross from Radvilishkis.
Our training placements are in companies of our social partners, they are located in Radvilishkis or in its nearest area.

During

Duration of training work placement belongs to the program and can be discussed. Mostly here are 2 - 4 weeks courses.

Describe

LRPRC is public organization. Our founder is Lithuanian Ministry of Education. Our school celebrated 80 years. At the beginning it was agricultural school. From 1960 it became vocational training institution. In 1993 with methodical help of partners from Germany Sud Hessen land, the school was reformed to Lithuanian Rehabilitational Vocational Training Centre.
We have tailors’ and carpenters’ workshops, metal workers’ (blacksmiths) and builders workshops, little hotel, school canteen, big hothouse. Our students live in two hostels. Here are about 300 learners and about 100 persons of staff in LRPRC.
From the same beginning in 1993 we run international projects and have many experiences in international partnership. The Lithuanian, English, German and Russian languages are possible for communication.
